I'm proud to be part of an upcoming film that focuses on the connection between mental health and creativity. Down Again will be released on October 10th, 2018 World Mental Health Day. I was approached by the director Nick Cavalier last year after we both took part in a discussion panel at "Acting Out!"
He thought it would be a cool idea to continue the discussion as a short documentary. Nick is a fantastic director. I highly recommend watching his entire catalog. He makes beautifully shot documentaries that have heroic yet often dark tales.
If you were a fan of Chimaira, or have dealt with mental health problems from time to time, then this film is for you.
Down Again is an exploration of the connection between mental illness and creativity told through the lens of photographer and Chimaira frontman Mark Hunter. The film explores the catharsis of making music and art and how the result affects the fans.
